Ms. Payne Chauvet

Helena Payne Chauvenet, Principal

Ms. Payne Chauvenet joins Arlington Public Schools after 12 years of experience in school leadership, including five (5) years as an elementary principal in the DC Public Schools. As a principal, she has led her school community through the pandemic, rising student enrollment, and a school modernization. Ms. Payne Chauvenet’s school was a recipient of the National Blue Ribbon School in 2020 by the U.S. Department of Education. Ms. Payne Chauvenet also served as an assistant principal for several years in both DC Public Schools and Alexandria City Public Schools. She worked for nine (9) years in Alexandria City as a middle school teacher and assistant principal. Ms. Payne Chauvenet holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, and graduate degrees in education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and the University of Virginia.

 

Mrs. Autumn Workman

Autumn Workman, Assistant Principal

With 20 years of dedicated experience in education, Ms. Workman brings a wealth of expertise to her role as Assistant Principal at Hoffman-Boston. Her educational journey began in Illinois, where she spent 15 years as an elementary special education teacher, honing her skills and passion for supporting diverse learners.

Since joining Arlington Public Schools in 2019, Ms. Workman has furthered her impact as an early childhood special education teacher for four years before stepping into her current leadership role. Her extensive background in special education, combined with her commitment to inclusion and teacher support, defines her approach to leadership.

Ms. Workman holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Special Education from Illinois State University, along with a certification in Administration and Supervision from George Mason University. Her deep understanding of special education, coupled with her dedication to fostering collaborative and inclusive learning environments, underscores her effectiveness as a leader in the educational field.
