Welcome All Star Artists

Meet the Art Teachers!!!!!!!!

Female Teachers

Hello!  We’re so excited to work with our amazing and creative young artists at Hoffman-Boston!  When we were in elementary school art was our favorite time of the week.  We hope that our students learn to love art and expand their ideas around what art means to them.  In the art studio you can expect to experiment with drawing, painting, and sculpting and we will use art to understand ourselves better and connect with others.

Ms. Boland received her Bachelor of Fine Art from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and a Master of Art Education from George Mason University.  She loves to paint, draw, and create ceramics, at her home studio. Ms. Boland also enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family, which includes her Australian Shepherd, Scout.

Ms. Cresswell received a Bachelor in Philosophy, Bachelor in Religious Studies, and Master in Teaching from Virginia Commonwealth University.  She loves to paint botanical abstracts and explore new materials and combinations.  Ms. Cresswell gets inspiration from nature and loves hanging out with family outdoors when the weather is nice.

Amazing work from 4th grade- We talked about how it’s okay to “steal like an artist” and be inspired by others as long as you tell your own story and learned about how sometimes the path forward reveals itself after we are brave enough to start somewhere. #HFBAllstars https://t.co/7AQjDS87Xe
