About Ms. Cresswell

Hello! I grew up in Arlington, VA and went onto Virginia Commonwealth University to earn a Bachelors in Philosophy, Bachelors in Religious Studies, and Masters in Teaching.  I started my career at Hoffman-Boston as a classroom teacher in 2009.  I came back to Hoffman-Boston as a Spanish teacher in 2018, and am very excited to be teaching ART now!  I’ve always loved playing with color, making things and experimenting with new materials.  As an art teacher I am learning a lot about choice-based methods as well as using “Studio Habits of Mind” to develop student awareness around behaviors that help artists grow and improve.  Getting the opportunity to share my love of visual arts with students is a dream come true.
