At Hoffman-Boston we have partnered with Qualcomm® Thinkabit Lab™ to create a unique maker space that combines all aspects of STEAM and students create inspiring art and engineering projects using a contemporary art form called robo-crafting. Qualcomm® Thinkabit Lab™ is a unique, hands-on STEM program inspiring and helping students to become college- and career-ready. A creative makerspace/classroom, Thinkabit Lab engages students from all cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds in unique STEM experiences that have a positive impact on their thoughts about careers and engineering. The program exposes students to STEM-related careers that they might not know exist and provides educators an opportunity to observe best practices for teaching STEM. Participants engage in fun engineering activities that involve problem solving, collaboration, and invention, which gets them thinking about future careers in STEM and related areas.
