Welcome to grade 3. This is one of my favorite times of the year because everything isnew and there is so much energy around us! I am extremely excited to be a part of the Hoffman-Boston community this year.

My name is Christianne Cajina and I teach ESOL, English for Speakers of Other Languages, supporting students in the classroom.  I have been a teacher in the county for eight years and love it very much.

I became interested in teaching ESOL since I had the experience of learning English and the American culture when I was a little girl.  My family and I immigrated to the Northern Virginia area from Nicaragua.  I feel blessed to live and work in Arlington County because it’s so diverse, friendly and there are so many places to enjoy.

I am strongly committed to teaching and believe that all students have the ability to be successful.  I am an optimist and believe that this school year will be amazing!  It will be a year full of curiosity, positivity and learning.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. The best way to contact me is through e-mail at  I am good about responding promptly.

I am looking forward to a wonderful year with you and your child.  Together, we will help your child grow academically!
