I graduated from James Madison University with a Master’s in the Art of Teaching, and have spent my entire professional career so far in elementary classrooms. Before coming to Arlington Public Schools, I taught 5th and 4th grades in Washington, D.C. I taught both 4th and 3rd grades, and serves as the Math Resource Teacher at Hoffman-Boston before transitioning to the role of Math Coach in 2018. As the Math Coach, my role is to work with teachers, students, our administration, and our Hoffman-Boston community to improve student achievement in mathematics. I love working with our talented teachers to support them in creating positive math communities in their classrooms and developing our students into creative, critical thinkers and persistent problem solvers. When I’m not at Hoffman-Boston, I love to spend time with my husband and our young son enjoying all that Arlington has to offer.
