The US Botanic Garden in DC starts its winter display on November 28. This year it features an elaborate model train layout and creative plant pollination displays. Free. Information is here: https://www.usbg.gov/holiday

The Spark! Lab is part of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History and it is a place for children aged 6 – 12 to become inventors. “Activities for children and families incorporate traditional science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) with art, history, and creativity.” Information is here: https://invention.si.edu/invention-stories/about-sparklab
