Meet Dr. Albro

Hi! I’m Jenny Albro and this is my second year at Hoffman-Boston. I started my teaching career as a classroom teacher (2nd and 3rd grades) in Kansas City, Missouri, and then became a reading interventionist in a 5th and 6th grade upper elementary school. I moved to DC 7 years ago where I started a doctoral program in literacy and language at the University of Maryland. After completing my PhD, I joined the faculty at Johns Hopkins University in the Urban Teachers program where I was an ELA Lecturer for new teachers for the past 4 years. I am excited to be back in schools working with kids and teachers this school year. When I’m not doing literacy-related things, I like to rock climb with my husband, Noah, and go on hikes and camping trips with our corgi, Atlas.
