Honors Chorus

Honors Chorus is a great experience in which you meet other 5th graders from the county! If accepted, you are required to attend weekly rehearsals at Kenmore Middle School and perform at a concert in March 2023. This is an awesome opportunity and great honor! We encourage parents to communicate with each other about carpooling to and from rehearsals, in order to allow your children to participate in Honors Chorus.

Students interested in auditioning for Arlington 5th Grade Honors Chorus must bring in a signed interest form to Mrs. Haines in September. Practice sessions will be held in October to work on the audition song, which we will learn briefly during our weekly music classes. Audition dates are Wednesday, November 2nd and Thursday, November 3rd. If you are not able to make your own transportation arrangements for the audition dates, please let Mrs. Haines know ASAP, as we may have alternate transportation available!

The audition song is available at the website above, as well as some practice echo patterns.The audition song is Tzena Tzena and the music is available at the link above. The website also provides you with practice tracks to learn the song. At the audition, you must sing the song on your own without accompaniment, however the accompaniment track is provided so that you may practice.

If you are able, please fill out the online registration form at the link above BEFORE THE DATE OF THE AUDITION. If not, fill out the paper registration form sent home with your student and bring it to Mrs. Haines before the audition date!
